Events and entertainment

It’s the Best of the Decades at Rockwood Theatre, Sibaya until 27 January 2019. With enigmatic performers and spectacular sound, staging, lighting and costumes, Best of the Decades is an enthralling entertainment experience for music lovers of all ages.  Tickets cost R99 per person (Thursday) and R130 per person (Friday to Sunday). The multipurpose Sun Park at Sibaya will be transformed into a vibrant playground of giant sized inflatable slides, castles, and obstacles for Fun Park in the Sun Park from 14 to 24 December 2018. Kids under 12 years old can go wild bouncing, climbing and clambering from 10h00 until 18h00 daily. The cost per child is R100 and there is no limit to the amount of jumping and bouncing they do on the giant sized inflatables. Sun MVG cardholders enjoy discounts on the entry fee.

Jakkie Louw will take to the stage at Rockwood Theatre, Sibaya on 18 December to celebrate 20 years in the music industry. He will perform songs from his new CD Party in SA which he touts as a big thank you to the South African fans who have supported him over the years. In what has become something of a festive season tradition, South Africa’s most prolific indi-rock band of all time, The Parlotones, will return to Sibaya for two shows over the 2018 holidays. Fans can look forward to hearing all their favourite tracks as well as new material from the band’s brand new album when Kahn Morbee, Neil Pauw and brothers Glen and Paul Hodgson take to the stage at the Rockwood Theatre, Sibaya on 19 and 20 December. Food and celebrations

Sibaya’s new concept restaurant, Tatso. The Buffet will be staging an inspired feast on Christmas day. The special buffet spread will feature traditional Christmas dishes and desserts, as well as hearty curries, seafood, salads, vegetables and more. The cost is R295 per adult. Children aged 6 to 11 years old are half price and children under six can eat for free. The cost includes free soft drinks from the soda fountain as well as still and sparkling water. The lunch sitting starts at 11h00 and dinner is at 17h30. No booking is required. Tables are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Sibaya’s exquisite Aqua Restaurant will be hosting a delectable three course Christmas lunch and dinner. Guests will be spoiled with a sumptuous meal featuring traditional Christmas treats and other festive dishes. There will be two sittings on Christmas day; one at 13h00 and a second at 18h00. The Royal Court will be putting on a Merry Spread on Christmas Day. The menu meal has a definite Christmas feel with familiar dishes as well as some with a contemporary and innovative twist. The cost is 300 per person and booking is essential at restaurantsibaya@suninternational.com.

Rockwood Theatre, Sibaya will host a special New Year’s Eve edition of Best of the Decades on 31 December. Enjoy classical sounds of the BeeGees, Disco Divas, ABBA, Queen from the 70s. Icons of the 80s like Madonna, Lionel Ritchie and Def Leppard. Unforgettable 90’s songs from one hit wonders like ’Moving on Up’ and ‘What is Love’ to the 2000’s that gave us Idols like Kelly Clarkson. Living legends like Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry giving us popular hits of today that are guaranteed to get you up and out of your seat. The cost is R399 per person. Chances to win big

Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom’s outrageously popular Golden Ticket promotion reaches a crescendo on 16 December 2018 at 23h45 with the final draw for the sexy Range Rover Sport worth over R1.2-million. As if that is not all, there are two Kia Picantos and a share of R135 000 in cash to be won at the draw. There are some Golden Tickets still to be won. To stand a chance of winning a Golden Ticket, members of the Sun MVG programme simply have to earn points by playing their favourite tables or slots games at Sibaya. People with enough points will receive entries to the draws for the Golden Tickets.

There is a staggering R820 000 in cash and a car to be won in Beat the Heat – Sibaya’s 14th birthday promotion. Sun MVG Members must earn two casino points from 08h00 on draw days (13 and 20 December) to qualify for one draw ticket into the weekly cash draws.
