Two rocking hours in celebration of 15 years of music – have you got your tickets for Francois van Coke and Friends’ one night only concert at Time Square? Tickets are selling fast and fans are urged to book soon to secure their seat in the 8 500 seat Sun Arena.

The backbone of this show will be van Coke with his band Die Gevaar performing various songs from his solo career. During the course of the evening, his friends will join him on stage to perform the anthems they created together, as well as hits from their own catalogue.


The prestigious artists collaborating for the concert are Jack Parow; Majozi; Fokofpolisiekar; Die Heuwels Fantasties; Laudo Liebenberg (aKING frontman); Coenie de Villers; Early B; Arno Carstens and Van Coke Kartel.

“We are expecting a capacity crowd as Francois van Coke celebrates his 15 years in music at the Sun Arena, alongside a host of prolific South African artists performing some of South Africa’s most memorable songs Don’t miss it,” says Brett Hoppé, General Manager at Time Square South Africa in Menlyn Maine.

Van Coke became a household name in South Africa as the lead singer of Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel. During his career as lead singer of these Afrikaans rock bands, he has released several successful full length albums, three EPs and collaborated with likes of Jack Parow, Die Antwoord, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Seether (Shaun Morgan) and Karen Zoid. He has received four South African Music Awards (SAMA) and numerous other awards. In 2015 he launched his solo career with the release of the most poignant ballad of that year, “Toe Vind Ek Jou”, with Zoid.

“All I`ve ever really wanted to do was play rugby or make music. Music chose me and I`ve had the privilege to collaborate with some of South Africa`s finest musicians. Along with nine of my friends, we will throw a massive show in Pretoria. The 120 minutes will be packed with my most well-known songs and my friends will join me on stage. Whatever you do, don`t miss out on this night,” says van Coke.
