Pablo Alborán & Ava Max Launch TABÚ their new track and spectacular Video clip

The word  “Tabú” (Taboo) comes from the Polynesian cultures in the South Pacific and is used typically to refer to “a social or psychological custom prohibiting or restricting a particular practice or forbidding association with a particular person, place, or thing“.

Following the huge success of his album “Prometo” and the “Prometo” World Tour, Pablo Alborán caught us by surprise with his new track “Tabú” – in which he breaks  previous  patterns and presents his new music, this duet with Ava Max,  in a new and exciting way.

Pablo Alborán is the undisputed #1 artist in Spain, with 42 Platinum Albums across Latin America and Spain, as well as holding an amazing International trackrecord by selling out all of his shows, including his first-ever gigs in London’s Royal Albert Hall and Theatre Olympia in Paris.

Furthermore, he has been the top-selling artist  for 6th year running in his home country, thus setting the bar for all other artists. In addition he’s a 2x Grammy and a 17x Latin Grammy Nominee – apart from an endless list of International Awards.

Pablo has joined forces with International Star Ava Max (nº1 on  Billboard with her hit single “Sweet but Psycho”) on “Tabú”  – sung in English and Spanish, in a very organic blend of two of the most respected voices of today’s music scene.

Ava Max has amassed over 1 Billion streams with “Sweet But Psycho”,So Am I” and the current hit-single “Torn”, and over 18 Million listeners on online platforms.

Tabú” was recorded between Madrid, Málaga, Miami,  and Los Angeles, and produced initially by Edgar Barrera (Ariana Grande, Shakira, Marc Anthony). The final tweaks to this duet were done by the world-famous Canadian producer Cirkut (Lana del Rey, Rihanna, Katy Perry and, of course, Ava Max).

The amazing video that comes with this track is the work of Malaga-born, California-based Santiago Salviche. With this video, Salviche has delivered an oneiric short movie, evoking aesthetics from the past and a troubling Science Fiction story, with a racial background.

“Tabú” is bound to impress and captivate fans worldwide, those who were already familiar with Pablo Alborán – and those about to fall under his musical spell.
