Some of South Africa’s most prominent chefs will showcase their culinary prowess at the Appetite Fest taking place at Time Square South Africa in Pretoria on 18 and 19 August 2018. Siba; Sarah Graham; Nti; J’ Something; Bertus Basson; Peter Tempelhoff; Chris Papayannes; Eric Bulpitt; Katlego Mlambo and Nathan Jacobs are confirmed to entertain fans with cooking demonstrations and Masterclasses at the inaugural Appetite Fest.

“It is a coup for us to have the three Master Chef Australia judges with us for Appetite Fest, as well as some of South Africa’s most celebrated culinary artistes. A proud supporter of South African talent, we are thrilled to give food fans a chance to rub shoulders with some of the country’s very best chefs. Local chefs are ‘lekker bru’,” says Brett Hoppé, the General Manager at Time Square.

Food enthusiasts can get up close and personal to SA’s top chefs in the VIP Suite on Saturday, 18 August from 10h00. The package includes, amongst others, access to the private suite with the chefs; reserved seating in all of the food theatres, and best of all, a meet and greet opportunity with the local chefs. Guests receive an Appetite Fest gift pack, including a chef’s jacket and cook book, as well as food and drinks. Seats are limited to just 23 people to preserve the intimate atmosphere.

Some of the local chefs will also be hosting Masterclasses, giving their fans an opportunity to meet them and watch them in action in the intimate setting of The Maslow Time Square’s the pool deck or at other niche venues in the Time Square complex, depending on which Masterclass they choose to attend.

Bertus Basson will host his Masterclass at 11h00 on the Saturday and Sunday in the Topaz Room. Siba’s Masterclass is scheduled for 16h00 on the Saturday and Sunday in the Topaz Room. Sarah Graham will host hers at 13h30 on both days, also in the Topaz Room. J’Something will be hosting Masterclasses at 12h00 on both days in his restaurant, Something’s Cooking by J’Something, which is located at Time Square.

A family-friendly event, Appetite Fest invites food and fun-loving South Africans of all ages. Outside, there will be themed, dedicated zones with entertainment and experiences for the ladies, guys and kids respectively.
