Winner of the second season of the popular Indian Idol singing competition, Neha Kakkar visits the Big Top Arena
She is beautiful, young and energetic and set to showcase her talent on stage at the Big Top Arena at Carnival City this July. Neha Kakkar, originating from Delhi in India has wowed crowds the world over and is now headed for the East Rand.
Better known as the winner of the second season of the popular Indian Idol singing competition, Neha has many other credentials to add to her list of accomplishments. At just four years of age she started singing and has never stopped. After winning Indian Idol, this dynamic vocalist released her first album Neha The Rock Star in 2008.
Currently a rising singer in India’s music industry, Neha sang the song “Dhating Naach” in the Phata Poster Nikhla Hero movie. She also sang “Sunny Sunny” with Honey Sing in 2014, which made her more popular instantly. In the same year she sang “London Thumakda” followed by “Party Shoes” which she sang for the movie Bindas. The list of soundtracks by Neha for several movies is endless.
This versatile artist is no stranger to the silver screen either. She played a singing role in the song “Magic Mamoni” for the Bengali movie in which she acted as Mahiya Mahi. Furthermore, Neha performed the song “Car Mein Music Baja,” a popular favourite amongst her younger fans.
“We are excited to be hosting this Bollywood music superstar,” says Michelle Smith, Marketing Manager of Carnival City. Judging by the over 420 million views of Neha’s own song, “Mile Ho tum humse” and over 1 billion view on her Bollywood songs on YouTube, many others will be thrilled to see her perform live.
Neha is brought to Carnival City and managed by Zuby Khan Productions, a super talented husband and wife team who are slowly becoming a household name in Johannesburg as they host some of Mzanzi’s best events.
Because Fathers Day is this weekend we decided to share this lovely song Neha sings with Tony Kakkar.
