The Palace at Sun City has spruced up its sumptuous high tea menu with a bolstered selection of tantalizing savouries, cakes and puddings, and some good old fashioned sweets. With something to suit all tastes and palates, sushi-lovers will be pleased to find fresh sushi favourites in the cast of high tea treats.
“High tea is not reserved only for those with a sweet tooth and so we have added hearty homemade pies, quiches and sandwiches, as well as sushi, to our high tea ensemble. While the colourful array of cakes and pudding provides a visual feast, the alluring aromas of warm-baked goods are a feast for the nose,” says the newly appointed Palace Executive Chef, Hanroe Erasmus.
The list of delicate sandwiches includes familiar favourites like cucumber and salmon, and pastrami and dill sandwiches, while the hot savouries include traditional chicken pie with a special twist. The list of pastries is almost endless, with options such as milk tart; lemon bavours meringue; strawberry cheese cake tart and pistachio opera slice amongst the many choices. The cakes and desserts are nothing short of mouthwatering, with Victorian cake; baked cheese cake, dark chocolate mousse cake; Amarula brulee and handbag tiramisu in the selection.
Served in the breathtaking setting of The Palace’s opulent Crystal Court, with its dramatic high arch windows offering views over lush gardens and ponds, high tea at The Palace is a decadent experience that everyone should enjoy at least once. The lavish high tea is served daily from 15h00 to 17h00. Guests booking and paying for a high tea for three can bring along a fourth person to enjoy the sumptuous feast for free.
