The ever-popular punk rocker, Snotkop brings an ensemble of his talented friends to the Sun Arena, Time Square to entertain fans on 31 March 2019. In the mix for Snotkop & Vriende are Jay, Kurt Darren, Juanita du Plessis and Early B.
“I’ve always dreamed of a concert like this; to bring together musical friends that I respect and look up to for a showcase of authentic South African music,” says Snotkop.
Snotkop will perform some of his greatest hits including songs from his latest gold album, Sous. Francois Henning also known as Snotkop’s, debut-album saw the light in 2005. His records include gold, platinum and triple platinum status and in 2017 he was awarded with the Ghoema award for digital song of the year. Concertgoers can also look forward to a surprise or two.
“Early B and I as well as Juanita and I will be performing together – a never seen before, not to be missed, experience,” says Snotkop.
Juanita du Plessis sold more than two million albums and celebrated 20 years in the music industry last year. Ska Rumba, Engel van my Hart and Gaan Groot are some of her biggest hits.
Jay du Plessis is known for his part in die group EDEN. Since the launch of his solo career in 2010, he released hits like Melanie and Dis hoe ons rol.
Kurt Darren is known as the king of Afrikaans pop. With seven SAMA awards, more than 23 gold and platinum albums and hits that include Meisie Meisie and Dans Op Die Tafels, Kurt is a well know name in the music industry.
Early B made a bold statement with his first release, Aangename Kennis, with hits like Ben Ten and Potte. His stage presence is electrical.
“This show is for the whole family. Bring your mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, brother or sister and make an outing of this show,” says Snotkop.
