Hidden treasure found – Introducing Izelme Swanepoel

Nothing excites us more than hearing an unknown and actually getting goosebumps from the track. With  great enthusiasm, we urge you to take a listen to this hidden treasure we found  for you.

Her name is Izelmé Swanepoel,  18 years old and from sunny jacaranda blooming Pretoria.

Izelme graduated from matric last year and is  currently taking a gap year to breathe and explore. Because music  is her first love, singing being her strongest calling,  she hopes to be able to find something to study in this field to take her in a musical direction.

Music has been Izelme’s passion ever since she can remember. She says ” I definitely think my attraction to music was inspired by my dad, who is a musician. He’s been playing gigs as a hobby from before I was born and I so grew up with music always around me and alot of musical family members. This passion was definitely flamed by my family who is incredibly supportive!”.

Izelme started taking singing seriously about four years ago when she took up singing and performance lessons at Studio Cha Vocal Coaching and Artists Development. From there on she knew that this was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

She started participating in competitions such as Pretoria Eisteddfod, Kraal Kunstefees, Garsfontein Kunstefees and SATCH. She also loved being part of school musicals. By nature Izelme is a more reserved shy person, but since she started at Studio Cha her confidence has grown so much not only in studio but on stage too. Izelme says “I’ve been given amazing opportunities to be able to record demo CDs and even have made two music videos. One of my goals would be to focus on songwriting to be able to write my own original songs one day. I am very excited for what the future holds for me and to discover my place as an artist in the music industry.”

We can almost assure you South Africa will be hearing a lot more from this lovely young songstress.
