Go large on life and laugther – Being Nathan Kennedy

Let down your hair and laugh with the inimitable Nathan Kennedy at Flamingo’s Bar 129 on 15 February 2020. This show, Being Nathan Kennedy, is packed with flamboyance, laughs, music and more.

Originating from Eastridge, Mitchell’s Plane, Nathan Kennedy is an entertainer who, at just 5 years of age, started expressing himself on stage.  Starting off small with roles in various church choirs and gospel groups, Kennedy hosted his first solo gospel concert in 2009 and not long after that, secured a contract in Spain.

Entertainment runs in the blood of this natural born actor.  In 2015 he was assigned a role in the theatre production Shiza Ikapa at the Rockwell Theatre and later also secured a role in the Live Drag Vocal production.  He was also offered a role in the Michael Jackson tribute production called Got to be Startin’ Something.

The list of Kennedy’s achievements is endless.  Starting a Drag persona in 2017, he has kept crowds entertained with his Disco Divas Live vocal shows countrywide and has earned over 60 000 followers on his social media channels.

Having done tributes to everyone from Michael Jackson to Westlife and Tina Turner, all over South Africa from Pretoria to Cape Town, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown, Kennedy brings to his audiences comic relief, sounds and moves to get them singing and dancing along and with some items, a feeling of nostalgia.

“For a different perspective on love, life and happiness don’t miss Being Nathan Kennedy at Flamingo this month. It promises to be loads of fun,” says René Scholtz, PR and Promotions Manager at Flamingo.

Tickets are available at Flamingo’s Cash Desk at R50 per person. The show will start at 21h00 and seats are limited.
