Capetonian Singer/Songwriter Kila G Releases New Music Video for ‘Sebenza’
“As long as you know what you’re doing, Sebenza.” These are some of the words sung by Kila G in his new music video “Sebenza” taken off his debut album ‘Pure Heart‘ . The video Premiered on 1 November 2020 on Kila G‘s Birthday!
‘Sebenza‘ translates to “work” in isiXhosa and aims to motivate and inspire those who are ‘hustling’ to achieve their dreams and put bread on their tables.
Kila G goes on to elaborate and say that if you put in the work, it is only a matter of time before you reap what you sow. The scenic music video was shot by Kay Mani Productions during Kila G‘s Johannesburg tour in October 2020 shows Kila G exploring places from Boksburg to Maboneng.
The scenes portray Kila G in his various stages of work with shots of him during photo shoots, meeting with fans and writing music.

Kila G is a Cape Town born singer/songwriter who has been writing and recording music for the past two years. His first project was an EP titled “Stone Age” which introduced him as the elegant artist he is. His debut album “Pure Heart” was released a year later and boasts various collaborations with local artist and producers.
The production for “Sebenza” was done by Syre and is reminiscent of early South African pop songs such as Jabu Khanyile‘s “Sponky Ponky“.
