Go Down the Rabbit Hole This Easter at Liberty Promenade
A whimsical Easter maze invites shoppers to hunt for eggs, prizes and sweet surprises

This Easter, Liberty Promenade is inviting shoppers to step into a curious and colourful world inspired by the whimsical tale of Alice in Wonderland. From 27 March to 6 April 2026, the centre’s Food District Main Court will transform into the Easter WonderMaze, an interactive adventure where families, friends and curious explorers can wander through themed fantasy spaces in search of hidden clues.
Open daily from 12 midday to 5 PM, this experience will offer a magical escape during the school holiday and invites visitors to explore, scan and discover as they make their way through the maze. Entry costs R20 per person.
A maze filled with surprises
Once inside the Easter WonderMaze, participants will begin a fun filled hunt for hidden QR codes nestled throughout the themed zones. By scanning the codes on their mobile phones, visitors will collect virtual Easter eggs as they progress through the maze.
Those who gather the required number of eggs will qualify for an instant prize at the gift station. The competition offers a total of R50 000 in prizes. This, along with Liberty Promenade vouchers and other rewards waiting to be discovered along the way. Hidden somewhere in the maze is the coveted Golden Egg. This will unlock entry into a grand prize draw. Lucky explorers could win their share of R15 000 in Liberty Promenade gift cards.
A sweet finish to the adventure
The journey through the maze will end on the sweetest note. Upon completion, each participant will receive a marshmallow or easter cakesickle. This is then dipped into a flowing chocolate fountain and topped with sprinkles. A small treat to mark the end of the adventure.
Designed as an immersive Easter activity, the maze encourages visitors to wander through imaginative spaces. This, filled with playful décor and colourful details, creating moments that invite photos, laughter and marvellous discoveries along the way.
