Featured 100 – Introducing DJ & Producer Moish. – Moish is a South African DJ and producer whose journey in music spans more than a decade. He is inspired by the groove, progressive, melodic, and rooted in ancestral sound. Moish has become one of the most exciting names in Afro House and Afro- Tech. Well known for his spiritual depth, rhythmic intensity, and emotive storytelling through sound.

His love for music began between the ages of 12 and 14 at a school festival. A live band’s drumming sparked a lifelong calling. Coming from a humble background, he began producing music after high school in 2010, He taught himself to DJ with Virtual DJ software. Later, transitioning to CDJ 100s. By 2012, he was producing his own tracks. Guided by YouTube tutorials and a deep curiosity for sound.
In 2015, Moish released his single “Chasing a Dream” (feat. Decency), which caught the attention of Ralf GUM.
That same year, he co-founded the duo Lunar Folks, earning airplay and recognition from Lulo Cafe (Metro FM), Just Mo (YFM), and Das Kapital (5FM). In 2017, after his partner stepped away, Moish went solo, releasing “Ubuhlungu”, which received support from Black Coffee and was featured on Netflix’s Blood & Water
Since then, Moish’s sound has evolved into a distinctive Afro-futuristic fusion. A sound that has garnered global acclaim and support from heavyweights including Black Coffee, Caiiro, THEMBA, Pablo Fierro, Moojo, Karyendasoul, Manoo, Kasango, and Shimza.
Moish is also the founder of POW POW Music, an Afro-futuristic label and event brand celebrating African authenticity and sound innovation through the POW POW Sessions, which have hosted top South African DJs such as Da Capo and Karyendasoul.
