Dan Shaw Drops Addictive Amapiano-Fused Pop ‘Get Up And Dance’ Track ‘Siyajiva!
With A magical sonic Fusion between Pop and Amapiano, Dan Shaw’s new single Siyajiva is about to take South Africa by storm! Inspired by the comical Zulu phrase ‘Siyajiva Akekh’Ugogo’ (We dance without Granny) likened to the English phrase ‘When the cat’s away the mice will play’, Dan’s new single is full of life, humor and fun, with dirty bass lines to boot!
On hearing the track, some may assume Dan sticks out like a sore thumb in this genre, but evidently this girl can hold her own when it comes to creating catchy hooks that make people want to get up and jiva! On browsing through Dan’s social media pages one cannot help but wonder where this well respected and internationally known artist has been hiding these past few years since showing up on our pages back in 2017 – we need more of her on our playlists.
The fun accompanying music video sees a bunch of friends happily partying and breaking out in some mad dance moves having a merry time of it, which is the perfect marriage for this upbeat dance track, it totally uplifts your vibe and makes you want to shake what your mamma gave you! If I’m not mistaken Dan’s gorgeous girlfriend also shows her pretty face in this elevating track!
This is the first of many tracks that are lined up from this super talented Singer/Songwriter originally from Johannesburg, who studied Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute in South Africa. We can also expect another Zulu title, the smash hit, ‘Kwenzakalani’ (what’s happening/What’s going on) which will follow soon. If ‘Siyajiva’ is anything to go on, consider us excited and waiting in anticipation!
