About Nostalgia
A bi-monthly gathering created with love for queer folks and femmes in Johannesburg who crave connection, rhythm, and vibes. Set on lazy Sunday afternoons, Nostalgia is where timeless grooves meet good energy, space to unwind, dance, and celebrate community in a warm, affirming atmosphere.
The Concept
At its core, Nostalgia is about revisiting the sounds, styles, and feelings that shaped us. Expect a soulful mix of old-school R&B, house, disco, and Afrobeat classics, handpicked by our favourite queer DJs who know how to keep the vibe easy, but electric.
Brought to you by House of Ditsie, a women- and queer-led collective creating spaces for queer joy, community, and collective healing, whether through somatic practice, narrative justice or through whining the waist.
