Nkosikhona Shange, AKA Nkosi, is a 30-year-old singer, songwriter, radio presenter, and music teacher. He was born in 1994 in Umlazi, South Africa. He moved to Embo at a young age and later to Malukazi at age 10. Nkosikhona attended Madundubala Primary School, Windy Height Primary School, and Strelitzia Secondary School.
He joined Ikabawo Performing Art Academy in 2017, graduating in 2018. Nkosikhona worked as an admin at the academy in 2019. He became a music teacher in 2023. Nkosi has had a successful music career. He has performed on Dumisa n/ in 2014. He also served as a backing vocalist for Metro FM Awards in 2016 and on Channel O in 2018. In 2022 he joined the Start Over project with Simphiwe Khumalo .
Nkosi was also part of Worship Synergy in 2022, working with notable artists like Khaya Mthethwa and Simphiwe Khumalo. In 2023, Nkosikhona became a Top 4 contestant on Idols SA, working with Musa Betusile, PJ Morton, and others. He has demonstrated a record of producing exceptional music working with prominent figures in the industry. These include Benjamin Dube, Sindi Ntombela, Sneziey Msomi, and more.
NKOSI has recently released his hot single titled; ‘Ngithi Mi’. The song is available on all digital music platforms globally.
