Lee Cole’s ‘Mine’ single & music video out today

A guitar-driven track that strips love down to its simplest

Lee Cole’s ‘Mine’ single & music video out today – Multi-talented South African singer-songwriter and producer Lee Cole returns with Mine, a warm, guitar-driven track that strips love down to its simplest, most honest form. Inspired by an uplifting guitar riff he stumbled upon while playing, Mine captures the story of two people wanting to be together. One of them boldly saying, Give me a chance, I could be good for you.”

This song is about shooting your shot. It’s about being direct with someone you connect with. Telling them: If you give me a shot, I can be everything you want. I feel like you could be everything I need. In a world where relationships are often weighed down by expectations and rules, sometimes love is just about being honest and clear.” ~ Lee Cole

Mine embraces a sparse, acoustic, and intimate sound, yet remains vibey, catchy, and radio-friendly. The song is fully produced by Lee himself.

I could have taken the song in so many directions, but I wanted to keep it plain and simple,” he says. “The challenge was making sure the vocals and lyrics really hit home. That they carried the emotion of what I wanted to say.”

For Lee, the timing of the release is intentional. “The world right now could use more love, more open communication. Mine isn’t chasing trends. It’s just a feel-good, vibey song about connection.”

If Mine were a movie…

If ‘Mine’ were a movie, Lee envisions it as a romantic comedy. One set in a cosy apartment, two people laughing, joking, and enjoying the simplicity of being together. One openly declares, I know what you need, and I’m willing to give it to you.”

Mine” follows Cole’s recent successes. This includes the award of Best Male English vocalist at the Afr-indie Awards 2025, “ICE=CREAM” and “Blind” a 2024 smash with over 85 million listeners (Radiomonitor). With a sound that blends pop, R&B, and soul, Cole has become one of the country’s most compelling voices. He has earned slots opening for Robbie Williams (Cape Town, 2025) and sharing stages with Calum Scott.

Beyond music, Cole is a South African national rink hockey player, balancing artistry and athleticism with equal passion.

Mine is available now on all streaming platforms. Fans can look forward to live performances and more new music from Lee later this year.
