Kwaito in Symphony Returns – Following a groundbreaking and sold-out debut at the South African State Theatre on 16 November, Kwaito in Symphony returns with an even more powerful, elevated and culturally resonant edition. This highly anticipated production will take place on 20 December 2025 at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, delivering a once-in-a-generation fusion of township rhythm and orchestral brilliance.

Ishmael

One of South Africa’s most dynamic and influential vocalists. From Skeem to JOZI to his iconic solo career, Ishmael brings a legacy of hits and a voice that transcends time.

Khadeair (of Magumba Fame)

A new-age storyteller with a breakout single that took the nation by storm. “Magumba” will thunder even louder with orchestral strings, brass, and percussive depth.

Sdudula

South Africa’s rising Kwaito prince, carrying the flame of a genre that raised generations. His stage presence, style, and raw authenticity make him one of the most exciting new voices in Kwaito today.

All performances will be backed by the meticulous 40-piece Soweto Theatre Youth Orchestra, whose artistry continues to set a new benchmark for youth excellence in South African music.
