Review of Dylan Tori’s ‘Lovers of the Dark’

By: Summer-Raine Thesner

Review of Dylan Tori’s ‘Lovers of the Dark’ – I just listened to Dylan Tori’s latest single ‘Lovers of the Dark and, wow, this one hits different. It’s gritty, it’s bold, and it carries that wild spirit of rebellion that country rock was born to channel. Tori’s voice is all gravel and smoke in the best possible way. Husky, rough-edged, and full of a kind of weathered charm that makes every lyric feel like a lived experience.

The Bonnie and Clyde energy to the song makes it one for late nights, empty roads, and no second thoughts. The track is built around this pulsing, swaggering rhythm that just dares you to let go a little. It’s got that confident, defiant edge, slightly dangerous but irresistibly magnetic. Honestly, the whole thing feels like a middle finger to playing it safe.

The music video only cranks up the vibe. It opens in a bar, eyes meeting, a little banter and… boom. Just two souls crashing together, riding out into the night on a motorcycle like the world’s theirs to burn. It’s impulsive, passionate, and unapologetically free. You can practically feel the wind and the thrill in every frame.

What I love most about ‘Lovers of the Dark is its mix of sass and sensuality. It’s sexy without trying too hard. Strong without being too loud. There’s a storyline here, and it’s not about being perfect, it’s about being real and fearless. Sometimes you just gotta throw your hands up and say, “What the heck,” right?

Dylan Tori has given us something special with this one. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to take risks, chase something wild, and not look back. Nothing wrong with that…
