About Kallo
Johannesburg-born Kallo, grew up influenced by the vibrant colors of Soweto and later the rhythms of Joburg City. She has been immersed in music since her childhood. Her earliest memories of humming radio tunes at age 4. Deeply impacted by her grandmother’s teachings and her family’s artistic inclinations, Kallo’s music blends alternative sounds with rich soulful undertones. This, reflecting her multifaceted cultural experiences.
Kallo launched her professional career in 2015 at the College of Performing Arts (COPA). She soon made waves with her debut EP “Love Over Everything” and its standout single “Ho Monate.”
Kallo’s accomplishments include captivating performances at the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival. She also received recognition on Hype Magazine’s playlist #84. Her talent further spotlighted during her stint on the TV show Idols.
