Ever since Covid came into our lives we couldn’t do much, but now popular South African DJ, Rian Pelati, of a multi award winning company is going live on GigMit for the first time on 23 March 2021.
During lockdown in South Africa in 2020 Let’s Go Big Tunes won two awards; African Excellence Award for Best Emerging Entertainment Production Company 2020 and MEA Business Award for the Most Innovative Event Management Company in South Africa 2020 and they are constantly looking at breaking barriers with their new exciting and innovative ideas with professional and highly qualified staff.
Let’s Go Big Tunes started in January 2019 and launched in May of that year. GigMit’s first live stream on 30 December was a great success and according to the company they had 700K views in total. “We increased our followers consistently considering the fact that we opened our channel one month ago,” said a spokesperson of the company.
Rian Pelati, DJ and CEO of Let’s Go Big Tunes, said: “I am very nervous on going on a live stream broadcast with so many people viewing, but I am just as excited at the same time.”
He said: “with Covid, DJ’s have been limited to playing at home and outside venues have been cancelled so I got invited by GigMit to play on their channel and I am very excited about the opportunity as I think that by doing live streaming acts can create new opportunities and possibilities for the music scene”
“This is my first live stream that I will be doing as I am still very old school and believe you need a crowd on the dance floor in order to have a good party, so I hope by doing this I can motivate other DJs to take the same route.”
He said: “The big reason for deciding to do live stream is that the face of clubbing has changed and as a company we have to adapt and I honestly think future events will be a hybrid of live and streaming events. So we might as well start getting used to the new way of partying, once we are out of COVID we will be fully prepared for the new normal in all aspects.”
