16 Year Old Singer-Songwriter Lyssa Heyman Releases ‘Give’

Today, SA Born, UK based, 16-year-old singer-songwriter Lyssa Heyman, releases her new single ‘Give’.
Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Lyssa recently moved to London, United Kingdom. From a young age, Lyssa has been writing and singing music as well as playing the guitar, and her new single is a song that shows how much her style and music have evolved over time.
Since her debut single release at age 14 titled ‘Moon Girl’, Lyssa has now adopted a more alternative, pop-rock style for her new song, with powerful elements and strong meaning behind it. ‘Give’ is a song that follows a theme that Lyssa writes a lot about, that being love.
“I always encourage people to think of the lyrics as a hypothetical, a comparison to if we were matchsticks, and then the song makes a lot more sense! Because match sticks burn, fires need oxygen to survive, and the lyrics from that just explain how I would give my flames to the people I love if they needed me to” says Lyssa.
Lyssa states that she believes feelings and words are incredibly powerful things to experience, and that the song can be interpreted differently depending on the person. Mainly – she wants this to be a feel-good song that one would appreciate listening to in all types of situations, with ‘catchy’ guitar riffs and engaging piano melodies throughout the song.
Lyssa has been experimenting with various different styles and types of music of late, and this new single is one of her favourites by far. She is so excited to share this song with you, and she hopes you enjoy it as much as she does.
We certainly do!
