Introducing Limpopo’s Very Own ‘Fresh Prince’- Singer & Model Cnow With The Release Of His New EP ‘Avuxeni’

Introducing Clemond Maimela AKA Cnow, hailing from Limpopo and currently Based in Midrand, Jozi. Cnow can be described as an Afro-pop/RnB singer, yet versatile enough to defy being labelled under one particular genre. Cnow states that he gets his musical inspiration through stories and rhythms, which he feels are the foundation of any good song.

He prefers to see himself as an ‘alternative’ artist of sorts, keeping his listeners on their toes. He believes that his own distinctive sound separates him from the crowd, proving this fact by winning an award in 2020 for ‘Best Newcomer’. Cnow is also a model at My Friend Ned Modelling Agency, which comes as no surprise with his dashing good looks and keen sense of style.

To date Cnow‘s music releases include a three Track EP titled ‘Warmed Up‘ which includes the songs ‘Roll Up‘, ‘Evergreen‘ and ‘Extroverted‘. Thereafter releasing a single named ‘Nkowankowa“. He then went on to release an eight track EP ‘Dippy’s Tape‘, followed by the two track EP titled ‘Mixed Signals‘. With his ambitious passion for music he then released another four singles, namely ‘Toxic‘, ‘I have Changed‘, ‘Cabin Fever’ and ‘Love Affairs‘. Cnow recently announced the release of his latest offering, the EP ‘Avuxeni’ which dropped on the 18th of March. ‘Avuxeni’ is a Tsonga word translating to “Greeting, East” which would basically mean “Good morning” or a more simpified “Hello” in English.

Cnow has already grown a substantial following in Johannesburg, Tzaneen, Cape Town, Middleburg and Phalaborwa and hopes to reach everyone’s playlist, across South Africa, to Africa to International ears! With an instagram following of 24.6k followers and a Spotify listenership of 4000k a month, he is certainly an artist to keep an eye on.

As a successful up and coming artist, Cnow has been playlisted and featured on many reputable platforms such as UJ FM, R1W Radio, Vow FM, BMH Radio, Massive Metro, Tswane FM, Trans Afrika Radio, Control Magazine, Unorthodox Reviews, Cultur Collector, Zkhipani Magazine, Slikour Onlife and most recently The Star Newspaper.
