Tkinzy Calls On Mlindo The Vocalist As They Close The Month Of Love Perfectly With ‘Uthando’
South African based, Nigerian born artist Tkinzy returns with romantic single, Uthando ft Mlindo the Vocalist. This is a perfect way to end the month of love and usher in the new month. The single comes fresh of their joint feature on Jub Jub’s all-star remix of Ndikhokhele, where they met.
Says Tkinzy: “I’ve always admired Mlindo’s ability to capture emotion through his music and Ndikhokhele was the affirmation we would get together on a joint songs. I honestly didn’t think it would be so soon but after recording my verse and hook, Mlindo was the only Vocalist that I could think of to hop onto the beat, and I have no regrets. He killed it! I hope people enjoy the song as much as we did making it”.
Uthando features a rich blend of instrumentation which collectively meet to tell a story of a man deeply in love. The guitar riffs and wailing saxophone accompanied by the constant beating of the drum, complement each other to capture the essence of an African romantic ballade. Mlindo and Tkiny’s vocals, harmoniously connect in an effortless manner at the hook, which after the second listen is sure to have you sing along.
The single also sees the visuals being released today. Directed by The Islanders the visuals which follow a soap like format, is the perfect visual accompaniment to the ballade. The Islanders – who have also collaborated with Tkinzy on previous releases, proves true to the saying: ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Ntando Duma, makes an appearance in the video as the Tkinzy’s love interest. The pair seem to have a natural chemistry on screen, delivering A Class performances of their roles. “Ntando is a great actress and really delivered on set, which pushed me to match her energy” comments Tkinzy.
