Emerging musician Zamokwakhe Maphalala, better known by her stage name, Ladyteeh, hails from Bergville, Zwelish. She began her musical career at an early age, participating in school and church choirs. When Ladyteeh attended a local artist’s studio in 2015 to record a verse for their song, she fell in love with the Afropop genre and decided to pursue her musical career.
Her debut EP, ‘UMLAYEZO’ was released in 2020 and in 2023 she released her second, titled ‘Isandla Somuntu.’ In 2024 Ladyteeh went on to release her third EP, titled ‘Izandla Ziyagezana,’ which features six tracks. She has also released some singles featuring local artists from her hometown.
Her latest single titled ‘Imithandazo ka Mama’, taken from ”Izandla Ziyagezana’ has an accompanying music video which can be seen on YouTube here

The artist states that she not only values, but adores making music, finding fulfillment and delight in her work. Ladyteeh draws inspiration from a variety of female artists she admires. Her most notable appearance was the Extravaganza Picnic (2022) which takes place in Bergville yearly.
Her music not only touches the young but is relatable and enjoyed by all ages and of all genres.
