Jordan Jansen Van Rensburg Crowned Miss Teen Grand SA
The gorgeous Jordan Jansen Van Rensburg was crowned as Miss Teen Grand South Africa 2022 in an electrifying event held at The Maslow Hotel on the 26th of March 2022.
Confetti rained down on the stage as the beauty from the East Rand accepted the crown in front of a crowd of over 100 people, consisting of family members, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers.
“I’d like to Thank God for the opportunity to witness this moment, cheers to everyone in this auditorium, this is one of the best moments of my life. I promise everyone, this is just the beginning of greater things.” said a tearful Jordan
The Miss Teen Grand South Africa is a platform created for young Queens aged between (14-19 years) to influence positive change in their personal lives and communities all over South Africa.
The exhilarating night was hosted by high-spirited former Mrs South Africa Finalist Trudy Zulu who kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening with her amazing humor with cameras flashing, trying to keep up with her enchanting outfit.
Big names in the modeling industry were brought on the judge’s panel. Consisting of Natalie Govender, former Miss International SA 2018 – Rambi Sechoaro, the first Mr Teen World from Africa – Mpho Botha, Gretha Garnett the current Mrs Africa Globe 2022, Genive Trimble, Sitha Mpako the Top 10 Miss Teenager South Africa, Zanele Phakathi, Cindy Ross and Lungile Jiyane.
Befitting of such occasion, it was of significance that they invite an inspirational act like Tide Of Yul to grace the stage and deliver a performance of her latest offering, “In The Fire” (ft Jemaine Roberts) a song that has been circulating on radios, tvs & social media platforms recently . The Christian Musician/Rapper was joined on The Miss Teen Grand stage by Gabby, the tv star who plays young Reyka on the MNET series.
Queen Jordan walked away with R10 000 cash and a spot as the sole representative of South Africa to showcase herself at the Prestigious Miss Teen Grand Universe 2022 this coming October, in Guatemala.
First Princess Title holder went to Boitumelo Wilson who will be heading to the Dominican Republic, to further her Modeling career this coming September. Zoalize JV Rensburg was crowned as the 2nd Princess of Miss Teen Grand South Africa 2022 and walked away with a cash prize.
Organisers of the event kept emphasis on how symbolic the title is, to beauty queens. It gives recognition to those who have made a difference in people’s lives, through charitable works around their local communities. As charity work is an integral part of the Miss Teen Grand ethos and part of the brief presented to each contender.
The Miss Teen Grand South Africa 2022, Queen Jordan Jansen Van Rensburg has made it her mission to advocate for Abandoned and Orphaned Children.
“I plan to be the voice to the voiceless and help these kids to find homes.” The Queen said
The event was brought to a close with a heartfelt speech by the Director of Miss Teen Grand South Africa who had this to say. “I’d really like to thank the parents, mentors, staff and everyone that was involved in making the whole competition a success.”
