Angie oeh gifts the world one final time with the Last Lyrics Angie ever Recorded. ‘Spoor‘ was recorded by Peach van Pletzen at Planet Awesome less than two weeks before she lost her life to cancer. This track is released as two versions in a short EP titled ‘For Angie‘.

The last lyrics Angie oeh recorded are “ons lewe is net ‘n spoor” (our lives are just a footprint), which is true of Angie’s short life on earth and in the music industry.
In some of Angie’s voice notes to Peach, Angie said that this was her “best work yet“. In the last two months before Angie’s death, her and Peach were working together on music. The work was for a new Afrikaans series on Showmax which will be broadcasted at a later date.
“We both really enjoyed the process, and although Angie was very ill (she thought it was pneumonia) she never missed studio sessions. Angie also sat next to me and recorded and not in the booth like in the past. Angie was determined and insisted on working,” says Peach Van Pletzen.
But Peach noticed something remarkable during these last sessions…
I started to see and hear more of the real Angie in her vocals and lyrics and less of Angie oeh.
It was as if the buffer of the project freed her in a way from her own ideas around “Angie oeh” and she was able to channel her true self with rawness, honesty and genuine depth ~ Peach.
