'Only Human' Tour concert

Calum Scott Woos the Durban crowd  – This Friday 9th November , in association with East Coast Radio , Durban Botanic Gardens found itself packed to the max with fans attending the first show of Calum Scotts “Only human” tour.

With 3 shows being staged on our shores, that being Durban Botanic Gardens , Cape town International Convention centre & Johannesburg’s Marks Park Sports club, we were fortunate enough to have had our own Gordon Date of  Whitelens Music Photography on location to capture this phenomenal artist in spectacular performance. Here’s what Gordon has to say about the evening:

My Journey of Chasing Light through photography has taken me all over South Africa, I have seen the most beautiful places and met the most interesting and loving people – experiencing the most incredible moments! Unexpectedly… yesterday served up one of those moments. Last night I had the good fortune to cover the Calum Scott Concert at the Botanical Gardens in Durban for SA Music News Magazine. What an honour, privilege and pleasure this was – A crowd of 4500 energetically gathered on the grounds of the picturesque gardens whilst ‘Opposite the Other’ kept everyone entertained, excitedly awaiting Calum.”

Calum Scott, the winner of last year’s Britain’s Got Talent entered the stage, bringing everyone instantly to their feet  – his passion and pleasure performing before a live audience was palpable.

Gordon adds: ” He wore his heart on his sleeve throughout, sharing every emotion in his facial expression, movements, and melodies. As he sang, you could literally feel how deep his emotions ran. Calum had everyone mesmerised – the crowd cheering him on, demanding MORE –  he returned for TWO encores.

I was fortunate enough to go backstage after the show and meet this incredible singer and his Tour manager and got to ‘feel’ a part of his story – an absolute Gentleman! Humble, approachable and with a wonderful sense of humour. I now know why his tour is so aptly named the ‘Only Human Tour’ – well done Calum and how wonderful it was to share a bit of Space and Time with you” – Gordon Date (Whitelens Photography)

Emotions ran high as Calum Scott stole the hearts of Durban Fans while being emotionally moved to tears!
