Dropped on Valentine’s Day, “Flex” is a collaborative effort that was actually recorded in 2018. The friends blended their vocals and musical expertise, but didn’t release it as they began pursuing their own independent projects. Too good to be shelved, “Flex” is an independent release made with PR company KrazyMedia and published with Beast Rand Entertainment.
Candace Africa and Remy Johnson first met in Marshalltown, a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. A true friendship and meeting of the minds emerged. The artists blended their talents for “Flex,” but each was working on their own projects at the time and developing their personal styles.
Africa was pursuing a direction in dance music, while Remy Johnson was honing his well-established rap flow and perfecting his knowledge in production.
