One Month To Go Until ULTRA South Africa

The countdown is officially on! In just one month, ULTRA South Africa will light up Cape Town and Johannesburg as it celebrates a decade of dance, music, and unforgettable energy with its highly anticipated 10th anniversary edition.

Ultra will be kicking off at The Ostrich in Cape Town on Friday, 9 May 2025. The party continues at Johannesburg’s Expo Centre at Nasrec on Saturday, 10 May 2025. The festival promises the biggest and boldest ULTRA South Africa yet! A blockbuster lineup of international stars and beloved homegrown talent.

As one of the longest-running editions in the ULTRA Worldwide family, ULTRA South Africa is a powerhouse on the continent’s music calendar. Consistently drawing world-renowned talent and thousands of devoted fans to its two-city showcase. This year’s 10th edition is more than a festival! It’s a milestone celebration of the journey so far and a taste of what’s still to come.

An Iconic Lineup Fit for a Decade-Long Legacy

ULTRA South Africa’s Main Stage will bring together a powerhouse lineup of global heavyweights, including Dutch electronic icon Armin van Buuren, hard trap sensation ISOxo, and the genre-blending force that is KSHMR. Returning to the ULTRA SA stage after headlining the festival’s very first edition in 2014, Martin Garrix adds a full-circle moment to this milestone celebration.

On the RESISTANCE Stage, fans can look forward to an electrifying underground experience, led by melodic techno tastemaker Massano, the enigmatic Italian duo Mind Against, and a special homecoming performance from South African legend Shimza in Johannesburg.

The star-studded billing extends beyond the headliners. Expect a strong support cast featuring, Da Capo, DBN GOGO, DJ Lag, Fiona Kraft, Kabza de Small, Maphorisa, Mörda, Vigro Deep, and more. These artists will be bringing the heat across both cities.

Johannesburg festivalgoers will also be treated to two additional stages. The Groove Room is set to spotlight South Africa’s most exciting amapiano and afrobeats talent. Acts like Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, DBN GOGO, Dlala Thukzin, Oscar Mbo, DJ Lag, 2wo Bunnies, Mörda, and more. All delivering unforgettable performances.

Meanwhile, The Clubhouse will provide a more intimate atmosphere. Curating forward-thinking electronic sounds including Jevan Binder, Shamiso, Da Capo, Kasango, Mpho.Wav, Darque, Tristan Urwin, A.ND, Son of Dennis, and Buhle.

ULTRA Tickets Selling Fast

As excitement for the 10^th edition of ULTRA South Africa builds, tickets have been selling fast and Ultranauts are encouraged to get their tickets before they sell out. Late last year, Rewind and Tier 1 tickets were snapped up in a record breaking 15 minutes. This marks the festival’s fastest and most successful ticket sale bookings in its 10-year history.
