Introducing Jozi’s Up & Coming Singer/Songwriter Ayanda Vixen with Spicy Amapiano Re-Mix ‘In The Burg’
Ayanda Vixen, a rising star from the south of Johannesburg is on a mission – “spicing up” Mzansi’s music scene with her latest offering, ‘In the Burg Amapiano Mix’. The track is a fresh take on the popular Amapiano genre, blending it with sultry hip hop and lyrical flows to reel in fans and gain recognition in both genres!
Ayanda released the original version of ‘In the Burg‘ back in 2021 as her debut into the music industry . She began her journey of radio broadcasting in 2022, which placed her in the position to host the first ever Afrikaans lifestyle and current affairs show on VUT FM. Performing at the annual Soweto Kota Festival last year inspired Ayanda tremendously and has her amped for a bright future in music, especially after being so well received by fans.
This year Ayanda decided to surprise everyone with a ‘’spicy’ comeback version of her ‘In the Burg‘ track by doing an Amapiano mix. Produced by fellow Vaal music producer Saixge. The new mix showcases her unique vocal style and songwriting skills.
The lyrics tell the story of a young woman’s journey to the city in search of success and adventure, set against a backdrop of infectious beats and pulsating basslines. Says Ayanda on her track: “I am thrilled to finally release this mix. My intention is for the listener to enjoy and dance along to a story. It has been a long journey, and I am grateful for all the support and encouragement I have received along the way.”
This young ‘Vixen’ assures us that this is just the beginning of serving up diverse music to her audiences and hopes to eventually attract international attention too.
