Jack Parow Announces Die Evangelie van Goeie Tye – It is Jack Parow’s 40th birthday today (22/2/22). To celebrate making it to forty, he will release a brand-new single on the 22nd of every month for 12 months, leading up to the full-length album release on 22nd February 2023. The album is titled ‘Die Evangelie van Goeie Tye’ (The Gospel of Good Times). The first single from ‘Die Evangelie van Goeie Tye’ is called Demone (Demons) and is out now.

Last year Jack Parow went to the Knysna Forest to fight his personal demons and came back stronger than ever. The proof is in the new music.

I wrote Demone during one of the darkest times of my life, so it is a deeply meaningful song to me. Having to be so honest with myself, in such a scary mind space, was one of the things that got me out of that darkness and back into the light. This process led to a metaphorical rebirth in my mind state and my music. It is therefore fitting that Demone should be the first single from my new album, Die Evangelie van Goeie Tye. ~ JACK PAROW
Margot Rothman is also known for her cover of the Afrikaans hit ‘Toe Vind Ek Jou’ on the movie, ‘Fiela se Kind’’s soundtrack. Her brother, Loki Rothman, produced ‘Demone’ and will produce some of the other tracks on ‘Die Evangelie van Goeie Tye’ album as well.
The third PAROW FEST in the Netherlands is on!
No other South African artist can brag that they have their own festival in Europe, so Jack Parow secured those bragging rights for himself. Parow’s following in the Netherlands is so great that his Dutch booking agency, Mojo/Live Nation, had to create a festival for him there dubbed PAROW FEST.
The first PAROW FEST was held in November 2017 at Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht with local artist Jitsvinger, Skip&Die (NL), De Kraaien (NL), Ertebrekers (BE), and De Likt (NL) joining Jack Parow on the line-up. The festival was sold out and was a massive success leading to PAROW FEST 2 in 2019.
PAROW FEST 2019 was just as big. Francois van Coke and European artists, Donnie, De Likt, Fata Boom, Het Gezelschap and Slongs featured on this line-up. The festival was again held at Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht and again the festival was sold out!
Due to the success of both PAROW FESTS, Mojo/Live Nation decided to add a second leg in Groningen in 2022. Van Pletzen and European artists, Russian Village Boys, Lionstorm and Prins S. En De Geit are on the line-up for this year.

Palama Productions made a documentary From Parow to Parow Fest: The Jack Parow Story (2020) which was partly filmed at PAROW FEST 2019. The documentary is currently showing on Showmax and Amazon in the Netherlands.
