Lance James covers Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” featuring Cito from WONDERBoom

The measure of a true artist is the innate ability to interpret or reinterpret a song, this become even more important when that song ranks as one of the classic tunes in contemporary rock. In its original form, Metallica`s “Nothing Else Matters” penned by guitarist James Hetfield, juxtaposes delicate guitar arpeggios ,plaintive vocals and juggernaut electric guitars into an anthemic rock tour-de-force.

In the hands of country legend Lance James the song takes on a new slant. Prefaced by a short brooding instrumental `tone` poem, especially composed for the piece by producer Matthew Fink,  “Nothing else matters” is completely transformed into a powerful brooding and dark, yet inspirational interpretation.

Building on a platform of chiming acoustic guitars and banjos plucking out the iconic riff, and topped with a soaring Celtic infused violin solo, Lance brings a gravitas to the vocal that rivals Johnny Cash`s work on the American recordings.
