Lefika, Gospel Music’s New Rising Stars! – LEFIKA is a Duo gospel band founded by Tshepo and Ntswaki, hailing from the heart of the Vaal Triangle, Mkhelele Ext 11.
About Lefika
The passionate duo began from humble beginnings, singing together at their local Church. They performed in the Choir and the Praise and Worship team. With their undying love for music, they subsequently decided that it was time to record.
Lefika’s music consists of deep house fused with soothing Rnb gospel, urban sounds, and a touch of African in the mix. Their aim is to bring back that spark that has been missing from the music industry, especially in South African Music history.
Lefika – The music
In 2022, July 22nd, Lefika released their debut single ‘Tseba tsohle.‘ They dedicated endless hours into producing the best music they had ever made. In 2023 they released three singles that have done very well, both internationally and locally. These are ‘Mohau‘, ‘Make a Way‘ and the single ‘Umelusi‘. ‘Make a way‘ was featured in SA Music & Entertainment news magazine shortly after it’s release. The track has since been nominated for the Gospel Choice Music Awards 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
On the 29th April 2024 Lefika released their 5th single titled ‘Another day in Paradise.’ The song is a soulful, soothing offering, and comes ahead of their much anticipated 7 track EP to be released this year. The EP promises uplifting Gospel jams and heartfelt classics.
Recently Lefika also participated in the Vaal Kasi Top 5 2024 presented by Thetha FM 100.6. ‘Umelusi‘ proudly took the first spot in the top 5.
South Africa should certainly pride herself, as our rich and unique talent, known as Lefika, represent us at the upcoming Gospel Choice Music Awards 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA from the 27th till the 29th June 2024.

Lefika will be performing live at ‘First Gospel’ on the 31st August 2024 at the Civic Theater in Vereeniging. The gates open from 11h00am and ends at 19h00pm.
