Following the release of his May 2022 experimental and introspective pop anthem ‘Wasting Time‘ South African singer and songwriter Miloh Ramai continues his musical journey with the release of ALPHA.
” We have come a long way as a society in creating safe spaces and dialogues about sex, sexual orientation, freedom and practices things that previously would have been considered taboo, things we didn’t feel comfortable talking about because no one else did. We can talk about these things freely now without the obvious stigma that once came with the subject ” Ramai says about the new single.
Written and performed by Miloh and produced by frequent collaborator Sloani, ‘ALPHA’ offers a dark and dynamic mix between vocal and dance pop elements. The song not only encourages the listener to unlock the fantasies they hide away in the track referred to and personified as the poetic “ALPHA” figure, but also to embrace these desires when they choose to. To allow oneself to be dominated or to dominate erotically can be an adventure as long as it is consensual.
