Paarl Get Ready For TopWineRoots ‘LaaiLou’ Music Festival Blowing Up From The 18th – 20th March at Berg River Resort, Paarl

There`s a new Afrikaans festival kid on the block! The TopWineRoots ‘Laailou’ Music Festival is creating a thrilling festival-experience in a fantastic setting for an unforgettable weekend out with your friends.

Your lilo (LaaiLou) is that quirky, colourful thing that floats your boat in the December holidays. Now you can flaunt all the colours and shapes of “Laailous” at the cooling waters of the Berg River Resort in Paarl, to spend the weekend with fabulous people and enjoy one of the best-line-ups that the Western Cape Festival circuit has to offer.

Karlien van Jaarsveld, Spoegwolf, Early B, Jan Bloukaas, Janie Bay, Francois van Coke, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Corné Pretorius, Tasché, Loufie, and many more will keep the good vibes going all weekend.

Festival organisers Corné Pretorius and Wynand de Villiers are thrilled to be hosting their new festival at such an idyllic venue.

De Villers says “We are confident that the line-up is exceptional, but on top of that, it was important to find a venue that matches the vision of what we are aiming to create.”

The Berg River Resort is the perfect setting: for those who are not in the water, there is shade under ample beautiful old trees. There will be a 270- radius surround sound that will make it possible to enjoy the music from your spot of choice.

Paarl has historically not had a cornerstone festival like many other towns in South Africa. There are many role players in Paarl, as well as the Drakensberg Municipality, who have singled out the LaaiLou Festival as an event to endorse in the future.

De Villiers says: “We are privileged to have so much support for the first edition of the festival, and we are also tremendously grateful for our two major corporate sponsors TopWineRoots and Bok Radio.
