SA YouTuber revs up the Festive Season

Dan Mace one of SA's most famous YouTubers composes viral Christmas carol with choir, delivery drivers & Checkers Sixty60 motorbikes!

SA YouTuber revs up the Festive Season – Dan Mace isn’t letting travel bans and his delayed return to New York City mute his festive spirit.

The South African award-winning director and YouTuber has built an audience of close to 800,000 subscribers on the video platform, based on his remarkable ability to commercialize his creativity.

His Seeing Sounds series has seen him recreate The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights‘ with a physical brick, his ode to Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ was constructed with – you guessed it – actual peaches and now he’s revving up the Festive Season with a remake of ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’… with Checkers Sixty60 motorbikes.

When I heard Sixty60’s drivers were going to be dressed as Santa, I jumped at the opportunity to celebrate these heroes. These drivers have helped us get through all levels of lockdown and next week they’re going above and beyond to deliver festive cheer this Christmas.’

‘I hope my remake of ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’, using drivers and Sixty60 motorbikes, puts a smile on the faces of South Africans, who need it most, at the end of another crazy year.’ ~ Dan Mace

From Monday 13 December 2021, over 2,000 Checkers Sixty60 drivers will be dressed as Santa, as they deliver groceries and festive joy to customers in 60 minutes.

SA Music News Magazine comments: This song! Only South Africans can do stuff like this. Dan breathes new life and the spirit of ubuntu into a track we thought we didn’t want to hear anymore. If I tear up, I know I’m moved, but I promise Dan, I smiled afterward. I hope to hear this jamming in all the stores when I’m shopping! Salute to all the Checkers Sixty60 drivers for being the rockstars they are in the most difficult time of our lives!
