Nigerian singer Starah has released his latest music video titled ‘Body‘. The song comes from his ‘Love No Pain’ EP which was released on the 1st of November.
The song ‘Body’ is a love song but not in the conventional way. In the song Starah is confessing his love to a woman and letting her know that he would do anything for her.
Starah plays the submissive role in the song by telling the woman that he will follow her regardless of where she would go. This is not very common within the African tradition as the woman is usually the submissive partner, but the love Starah has for her runs so deep that he goes against all norms to be with her.

The music video, which was shot by video director Major Plug, portrays Starah talking to a woman he saw on the beach, trying to catch her attention.
The video shows him in different scenes following her and trying to convince her to be with him. Starah tells her that he wants to be able to lift her up, help her reach her dreams and do all the small things women usually do for their men.
Starah was born in Nigeria and started his music career in Lagos. He was first inspirited to create music after seeing his mother and sister perform as backup singers in a band. From then onwards Starah started experimenting and creating his own music and released his first project titled “Experience Grew Passion” EP.
Starah then dropped a single called “Terminator” which was accompanied by a very futuristic music video. Currently Starah resides in South Africa and is pushing his latest EP “Love No Pain” which features a host of afro pop inspired songs.
