Toe vind ek jou hits 8 Million views
Toe vind ek jou hits 8 Million views – On 8th April 2015, Francois van Coke released his first solo album and Toe vind ek jou featuring Karen Zoid. The record-breaking song changed the trajectory of Francois’ music career to the success he enjoys today.
Over the weekend of 1st June this music video hit the 8 million mark, making it one of the most (if not thé most) watched Afrikaans music videos of our time.
It was the first Afrikaans album and single to simultaneously jump to number 1 positions on the SA iTunes Store in 2015. Hitting number 1 spots on many radio charts, the song also achieved Platinum status as a single and the music video was announced as the biggest Afrikaans music video of 2015.

“It is a great honour to be a part of that song. The reaction was so great from day one and so many people resonated with it. It’s just an honest love song about the relationship between me and my wife. It was a great honour to write and record this song with Karen,” says Francois.
New album
Francois is currently hard at work on his third solo album. Amongst others this album will feature collaborations with Riky Rick, Spoegwolf and Fokofpolisiekar bandmate, Hunter Kennedy. This album is due for release in October.
