SA Music News Team Share An Intimate ‘Storytelling Session’ With Lloyiso At Universal Music
The SA Music News team had the pleasure of attending an exclusive listening session, sharing an Intimate ‘Storytelling Session’ With Lloyiso on Wednesday. Lloyiso showcased his phenomenal upcoming EP titled “Seasons“, set for release this 31st March. The event was held at Universal Music Studios in Johannesburg – the set-up, a wonderfully personal gathering – intimate and cozy, with dim lighting and comfortable seating.
Lloyiso described the listening session as a “storytelling experience”, and throughout the night, spoke about his journey as a musician, his influences, and the creative process behind his new album.
Lloyiso first gained fame as a contestant on the South African singing competition show “Idols”. He spoke candidly about his experiences on the show and how it propelled him into the limelight. He also revealed that he looks up to fellow South African musician Shekhinah, who has had a significant impact on his music and career.
One of the most interesting things Lloyiso shared during the listening session was how he wrote the majority of the material for his album from the comfort of his living room. He revealed that although he had travelled to the United States for writing camps, it was in the solace of his own home where he felt most inspired and creative.
