Jerusalema challenge takes off following Presidential request to ‘get involved’ this Heritage Day
Last night President Cyril Ramaphosa ended off his nation-wide speech by encouraging South Africans to celebrate their “South African-ness” this Heritage Day by getting involved in the latest dance craze that is the #JerusalemaDanceChallenge, created using popular musician Master KG’s hit song, Jerusalema.
At the centre of this viral trend is short-form mobile video platform, TikTok, with over 9.5 million views on #JerusalemaDanceChallenge globally. Through this dance challenge, the immense creativity and spirit of local users has really come alive.
