Local Music Group Hullabaloos’ New single ‘Dubula’ – Lifting Moods all around SA
The fast-growing collective Hullabaloos are making a name for themselves in the local music scene as they release hit single after hit single. Their latest is titled ‘Dubula’ – and it is another sure-fire hit.
Four musicians from Kwa-Thema, Gauteng, brought their unique artistic skills together in 2013 to form Hullabaloos. The group blends hip-hop, house, soul and Afro-pop to create a youthful, contemporary sound.
After the success of singles ‘Kumnandi’ and ‘Emhlabeni’ – the former reaching the 16th spot on the YFM Top 40, and the latter having over 25 000 views on YouTube – ‘Dubula’ is here to solidify the artists’ place in the industry.

Hullabaloos refer to ‘Dubula’ as “the people’s single” after seeing how well it was received wherever they performed it. With this latest track, the crew has high hopes for the future with an aim to truly grow and achieve mainstream success.
This shouldn’t be too far out of reach for the ensemble, who have already performed with Kwesta, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and AKA, to name a few.
