Khronic Teams Up With North American Hip-hop Stars To Launch ‘Linha do Tempo Vol I’

Khronic, one of the biggest names in the African hip-hop scene, recently dropped his new album titled “Linha do Tempo Vol I”.

The new album includes collaborations with big names such as the American rapper and record producer Masta Ace, (one of Eminem’s main influences), M.O.P. (a duo made up of Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame), and Outlawz (a group that gained prominence by working on several 2Pac projects, including posthumous ones).

With 13 tracks, “Linha do Tempo Vol I” is a chronological representation, in a vertical sense, of the unfolding of the history of being human, and its process of development, from birth to death. Based on different learnings and his own research, Khronic assumes that there is a fundamental reason for existence and everything that is acquired at the material level or not, it’s mainly to support humans in our evolutionary process.

The international collaborations are part of a strategy created with the main objective of celebrating the culture that is transversal to all the participants, but on top of all, the rapper chose to work with artists that he always admired and that were part of his own development as an artist.

Apart from the American collaborations, this new album also includes important artists from the Portuguese-speaking universe, such as Duas Caras, Hernâni da Silva, and Mark Exodus; the Guinean, Mikas Cabral, the Portuguese, Mundo Segundo, Fuse, and the Cape Verdean, Ga daLomba. On the production side, “Linha do Tempo Vol I” includes names like Polegar Beatz, Hermetiko, Menfis_Segundo Piso, Edy Mc, and Khronic.

It was an honor and a special pleasure to work with ícons such as Masta Ace that I have always idolized since I identified myself with hip hop, with rap, and also because the dynamics of the United States are different from those of Mozambique, so it was an excellent learning curve and a mix of cultures and experiences that enriched the final work“. ~ Khronic
