SINE Is Back With Her Much Anticipated EP Release ‘Life is A Movie’

Soweto Born SINE, a multi-talented South African singer and producer releasing music under the indie pop/ alternative genre is back to captivate with her latest EP.
SINE relocated to Johannesburg to focus on her career in music a few years ago, dropping her debut EP ‘Who am I‘ back in 2017. The move payed off as her music video for ‘Isolation‘ premiered on Channel O and TraceAfrica – a huge breakthrough for the up and coming star.
You may remember SINE from our last article covering her extraordinary single ‘Numb‘ back in June 2020, a song inspired by her own troubled childhood where she would self medicate and turn to self destructive behaviour – a song which also got us hugely excited about the next musical offering from this eccentric young songstress.
Now, The 24 year old Aquarian ‘Godddesss’ is back – with her much anticipated three track EP titled ‘Life is a movie“, produced by Paseka Makhubu under The Madhouse Music Inc. Label.
“Life is a movie was inspired by some of my favorite movies and characters that I felt resonated with me. When I created it, I kept thinking of that song where Lana Del Rey says “Life Imitates Art” and then that led me to actually use one of the most relatable quotes as the title… I mean, Life really is a movie…“, explains SINE on her inspiration surrounding the EP.
The three track EP Title couldn’t have been more fitting, as just like intentional escapism we seek and experience from watching movies – the three phenomenal tracks take you off on a journey into ‘wherever-ness’.
